Martin J. Welch, chief operating officer and president of Employers Insurance Co. of Nevada, will resign Feb. 1, said Employers Holdings Inc., the Reno-based workers compensation carrier.
Welch, who joined the company six years ago, also resigned from Employers Holdings' board.
Douglas Dirks, president and chief executive, will take over Welch's duties. In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the company and Welch said the resignation wasn't the result of a disagreement.
