Five Nevada groups get foreclosure education grant

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Five Nevada nonprofits are getting $300,000 to educate people about foreclosure mediation.

KSNV-TV reported Thursday that the grant is issued under the Foreclosure Mediation Program.

One of the Nevada recipients is the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada. It says the money will be used to provide counseling with an attorney and mediation classes.

KSNV-TV says one in every 33 Nevada households have received a notice of default.
