Agate finishes Hotshots job

The Reno-based Sierra division of Agate Inc. has completed construction of a 6,450-square-foot headquarters for the Ruby Mountain Interagency Hotshot Crew at Elko.

The project built for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Bureau of Land Management was valued at $1.62 million.

The seven months of construction on a tight site ran through the winter months.

Subcontractors included United Electric, Lindell's Painting Service, Standard Drywall, Desert Fire and Mt. Rose Heating and Air Conditioning.
