Irene Geraldine Vido, 94, of Gardnerville died May 21, 2011. She was born May 28, 1916, in Springfield, Ill., to Archie and Lola (Grimes) Carter. She was preceded in death by her husband Leslie Samuel Vido. She is survived by her son Douglas Vido (Sarah); daughter Leslie Ann Green; brothers Gene Carter and Don Carter; sisters Dolores Carter and Mildred Carter; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Valley Christian Fellowship, Gardnerville Ranchos. FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
