Academic Honors

Ahron C. Osheroff, a 2006 graduate of Carson High School and son of Chris and Jennifer Osheroff of Carson City graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University of Nevada, Reno on May 14, 2011. He recently passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam and is currently working as an intern for Granite Construction in Reno.

Shane Miller of Gardnerville, was among more than 1,200 students to graduate from Mesa State College on Sunday, May 15. Miller graduated with a Bachelor of Arts.

Founded in 1925, Mesa State College is a comprehensive regional public higher education institution offering liberal arts, professional, and technical programs at the master's, bachelor's, associate, and certificate levels.

James Haynes, of Carson City, a senior at Fort Hays State University, has been named to the Dean's Honor Roll for the spring 2011 semester.

The roll includes only full-time undergraduate students who have at least a 3.60 grade-point average for the semester. Both on-campus and FHSU Virtual College students are eligible.
