Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Emily Scott, 27, an unemployed transient, was arrested at 6:30 p.m. Thursday on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of prescription drugs without a prescription and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $20,000.

• Jay William Denney, 49, was arrested at 4:16 p.m. Thursday in the 2200 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of felony possession of a stolen vehicle. Denney said a couple had given him the Ford Taurus, reported stolen out of Bakersfield, Calif., and he'd been living in it. A nearby business owner confirmed that a couple matching the description given by Denney had tried to sell the vehicle to an employee for $25. The owner of the vehicle also described a man that matched the description given by Denney as the suspect in the vehicle's theft. Denney's bail was set at $15,000.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Thursday:

• Report of heroin found in a room in the 800 block of North Carson Street at

3 p.m.

• Report of a green 1997 Ford F150 missing from the 400 block of Allouette Drive at 9:31 p.m.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Thursday:

• Coroner call in the 900 block of Truckee Lane in Fernley at 7:35 a.m.

• A Fernley caller reported a person known to them had been swerving with his vehicle and flipping the caller off at 12:07 p.m. on West Newlands Drive.

• Arrest on Iroquois Trail in Stagecoach at 5:14 p.m.

• Arrest on 1000 Highway 50 East in Silver Springs at 10:47 p.m.
