Green & Me, a television and social media platform that will deliver content about the green lifestyle, is scheduled for launch in the Reno-Tahoe market in mid-May.
The media platform is a project of Sierra Adventure Marketing, an Incline Village company owned by Robert Olmer and Kevin Danaher, owner of Danaher Development International LLC in Reno.
Olmer and Danaher currently produce "Inside Tahoe Truckee," which airs on cable television systems in the region and operates the "InsideTahoe.net" Web site.
The duo currently is working with Charter Communications for time slots for a "Green & Me" television program and also is talking with KOLO-TV, said Olmer.
The television program, Danaher said, will include advertorial content about products and services of interest to people who want a health-conscious and environmentally friendly lifestyle. Green & Me also hopes to generate revenue through traditional sales of advertising spots.
The company also plans to widen its reach through social media such as YouTube videos and Facebook pages that provide education on green lifestyles.
Danaher said Green & Me is designed to link the growing number of environmentally conscious consumers in the region with companies that provide products and services that meet those consumers' needs.
