The weather is expected to take another wintery turn on Sunday as a low pressure system moves into the region today.

There's a 60 percent chance for rain tonight and a possibility for snow in the valleys on Sunday, though no accumulation is expected, said Dawn Fishler, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.

"It's abnormally cold for this time of year," she said. "But it's basically going to be influencing our weather through Wednesday of next week."

Today, the weather is expected to be in the high 60s and breezy with gusts up to 35 mph. There's also a 20 percent chance for thunderstorms.

The high tomorrow will be near 50 with a low of near-freezing tomorrow night.

The wet and cool weather is expected to stick around until midweek. Fishler said spring should return by Thursday or Friday.
