AMEC, an engineering and project management company, has leased 23,891 square feet at 961 Matley Lane and will expand its northern Nevada operations.
The company will house 60 employees at the office and laboratory facility.
The office lease, the largest in the Reno market during the first quarter, was handled by David Woods of CBRE, who represented the landlord, 961 Matley Properties LLC, and Matt Grimes of CBRE, who represented AMEC.
Sierra Pines Construction of Reno won the contract to remodel the offices.
AMEC's current projects in northern Nevada include the I-580 freeway extension, the Plymouth Mountain Hotshots facility at Carson City and mining projects for companies such as Barrick Gold Corp. and Newmont Mining.
Other tenants of Matley Properties include Hanger Orthopedic Group, Reno Media Group, Americom Broadcasting, Pacific Medical, Sandy's Electronics, ScottComm and Tropical Penguin Scuba.
