Brent Boynton has been named news director for KNPB-TV public television.
Boynton has 15 years experience as an anchor for Reno television stations KTVN and KOLO. He also has experience as a reporter, consultant and as communications director in the Governor's office.
Boynton succeeds Michael Hagerty who has become news director at KUNR-FM public radio.
