Ian Buckle, a professor of civil engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno, has been endorsed by the members of the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute to be their next president. Buckle serves as director of the Center for Civil Engineering Earthquake Research and director of the Large-Scale Structures Laboratory at UNR.
