Carson Nugget selects new Food and Beverage director
Thomas Deal has been named Food and Beverage director of the Carson Nugget.
Deal has worked 22 years in Restaurant Management and Food Preparation and has worked in restaurants including Cantina Los Tres Homebres, BJ's Restaurants and TGI Fridays.
Deal is a 14-year resident of Nevada. He is married to Julia Deal and has a 12-year-old son.
Spires and Smith earn regional recognition
Brad Spires and Scott Smith of RE/MAX Realty Affiliates have been awarded third and fourth places for 2011 residential sales in the Southwest Region. Spires and Smith compete with Reno, Las Vegas and the Phoenix/Scottsdale RE/MAX agents.
Spires also received recognition for the top commercial agent in Nevada. Smith was the top residential agent in the Carson Valley, according to the Sierra Nevada Association of Realtors.
Spires has been in the business for 21 years and Scott for 25 years.

Food products contract awarded
Reno's Model Dairy and Carson City's L&M Distributors each won contracts worth $100,000 to provide dairy and food products to the Defense Logistics Agency.
