A Las Vegas-based law firm, Gordon Silver, Attorneys and Counselors at Law, said last week it's launched a Reno office staffed by three former shareholders in the Jones Vargas office in Reno.
John P. Desmond is partner in charge of the Reno office. He's joined by Brian R. Irvine and Molly Malone Rezac, who are shareholders in Gordon Silver.
Desmond focuses commercial litigation and appellate work, Irvine practices litigation, appellate, banking, bankruptcy and creditors rights, and construction, and Rezac focuses on employment, administrative and regulatory law, and litigation practice areas including employment and human resource compliance.
The Gordon Silver office in Reno is at 100 W. Liberty St.
Greg Garman, managing partner of Gordon Silver, said the firm opened a Reno office both to expand its clientele as well as to serve existing clients.
Established 40 years ago, Gordon Silver operates offices in Las Vegas, Phoenix and Washington, D.C. Its staff across its four offices includes more than 50 attorneys and 100 employees.
