Girl Scouts recognition

Krys Bart, Stacey Crowley, Tammy Dermody, Amy J. Khan, M.D., and Caryn Swobe will be recognized by the Girl Scout of the Sierra Nevada at its annual "Triumphant: Celebrating Women In Leadership" event in November.

Bart, president and chief executive officer of the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority, will be recognized for her work in building financial literacy.

Crowley, director of the Nevada State Office of Energy, will be honored for her work in environmental leadership and sustainability.

Dermody, owner of Walton's Funeral Homes, will be recognized for community service.

Khan, chief medical officer of Saint Mary's Health Plans, will be honored for her work to promote healthy living.

Swobe, the president of Swobe Strategies, will be recognized for her work in building interest and skills in science, technology, engineering and math.

The "Triumphant: Celebrating Women In Leadership" event is scheduled for Nov. 28 at the Atlantis.
