The national business-launching initiative Startup Weekend is coming to Elko Sept. 28-30.
The grassroots event, spread out over 54 hours, is designed to connect Elko-county entrepreneurs, business innovators, developers with mentors and other resources in an effort to share ideas, form teams and possibly launch new businesses in northeastern Nevada.
The 54-hour event takes place at Great Basin College beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28. Registration costs $99 or $49 for Great Basin College students. Register online at elko.startupweekend.org.
