A Silver Springs man was arrested after officers found five marijuana plants and two firearms in his home, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.According to the sheriff’s office, Douglas Burke, 61, is an ex-felon, making it is illegal for him to have guns.The investigation took a week before Burke was arrested, according to sheriff’s office.According to a press release, the five mature plants weighed a total of 20 pounds. Burke was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sales, possession of marijuana greater than an ounce and two counts of ex-felon in possession of a firearm.
