Via Seating says its received certification for sustainable manufacturing practices for two of its products from an independent testing laboratory, and the Sparks-based seating manufacturer expects to earn certification for all its products in the coming months.
Via Seatings' Brisbane and Riva-Act2 seats were awarded Level 1 certification by Intertek, an independent testing laboratory. The certification is part of the Business and Institutional Furniture Sustainability Standard that focuses on the environmental and social impacts of a product's manufacture. Level 3 is the highest certification possible.
