Five arrested at Silver Springs Women’s Conservation Camp on suspicion of burglary

Five burglary suspects were arrested Tuesday at the shuttered Women’s Conservation Camp in Silver Springs.

Agents from the Attorney General’s Office were at the camp to assess damage from previous burglaries when they reportedly saw the suspects enter a building there.

They called the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office about 2:20 p.m.

According to the Sheriff’s Office:

When deputies arrived, three of the suspects had barricaded themselves in an old housing unit.

They were extracted two hours later with the help of the Lyon County SWAT team.

Kenneth Curts, 43, Michael Korte, 29, Brandon Quinonez, 22, and a 17-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of burglary, malicious destruction of property, possession of burglary tools and obstructing or delaying a peace officer.

Each of adults’ bail was set at $53,637; no bail was set for the juvenile.

Terry Barrick, 32, was arrested on suspicion of possession of burglary tools and being an accessory to burglary. Her bail was set at $27,500.
