Gardnerville man arrested in Carson City on Ecstasy-related counts

A 19-year-old Gardnerville man was arrested Tuesday night at Interstate 580 and College Parkway on multiple drug-related counts.

According to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office arrest report:

A deputy pulled over Zackery Kluever after he failed to stop at a red light at William Street and Interstate 580.

When asked about having dilated pupils, Kluever admitted to having smoked marijuana two or three hours earlier.

He showed signs of impairment during a field sobriety test. While his Volks­wagen Jetta’s contents were being inventoried, the deputy found a bottle of pills labeled “Molly” that contained 30 pills. They tested positive for being Ecstasy. The deputy also found a bong with marijuana residue.

Kluever was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, DUI-drugs (first offense), possession of drug paraphernalia, disobedience of a traffic-control device and no proof of insurance. Bail was set at $10,000

He remained in the Carson City Jail on Wednesday.
