Mail carrier, 3 others attacked by bees in North Las Vegas

NORTH LAS VEGAS — Firefighters say a mail carrier was taken to the hospital after being attacked by angry bees at a North Las Vegas home.

Crews say they were called to a home on Alderwood Drive about 11 a.m. Thursday and found thick swarms of bees in the area.

Neighbors were told to stay in their homes while firefighters fought the aggressive swarm with foam.

Officials traced the bees to a large hive that had formed in furniture outside the home.

Three people were treated at the scene and released, while the mail carrier was taken to University Medical Center with multiple stings. Firefighters say the postal worker was in stable condition.
