Cheers & Kudos: Thanks for help with Santa to Senior effort

On behalf of the staff at Home Instead Senior Care, I would like to thank everyone in our local community who helped with this year’s very successful “Be a Santa to a Senior” program.

This year we delivered over 2,000 gifts throughout Northern Nevada in Carson, Douglas, Lyon and Washoe counties. It was because of our generous community working together that we were able to make a difference in the lives of so many people.

A project of such magnitude could not be completed without the participation from charitable individuals. Some were able to purchase gifts, some came to our wrapping party, and some assisted with delivery. Others allowed us to place trees in their businesses. Still more gave monetary donations that gave us the opportunity to fulfill any remaining gifts that were not claimed before the close of the program.

So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Every year I am humbled by the generosity of our community.

I only wish that everyone who participated was able to see the faces of these seniors when they received the gifts they never expected to get. It is those poignant moments that inspire us to continue on, year after year, with this program.

Thanks to all those who helped us brighten the holidays for our local seniors, truly making a difference in our community.
