A free two-hour workshop on the laws of intellectual property will be offered in Reno on Feb. 27 by the Nevada Small Business Development Center and the College of Business at the University of Nevada, Reno.
Leading the workshop will be Bonnie Drinkwater of the Drinkwater Law Offices in Reno and Darrin Maddox, owner of Eastern Sierra Professional Group.
Drinkwater will cover the basics of trademark, copyright and patent law. Maddox, a certified public accountant and certified valuation analyst, will discuss the process of determining the value of intellectual property.
The workshop will be held in south Reno at the University of Nevada, Reno Redfield Campus, 18600 Wedge Parkway, in Room 215 of the Nell J. Redfield Building A.
