Fish: The whistling sucker is a fish that is sometimes caught in Walker Lake. When caught, it emits a plaintive whistle which will almost persuade an angler to throw it back into the water. Charley Kimball has one he caught in a net, keeps in a tank and has taught it to know him — and whistle when it is hungry. Kimball thinks that in time he can teach it to whistle part of some simple tune (Walker Lake Bulletin).

If you are the owner and operator of an automobile, you must have a tag informing all who see if that you have paid your federal use tax of five dollars for the fiscal year. Violators are subject to a fine as high as $50.
