GNCU president named advocate of year

Greater Nevada Credit Union President/CEO Wally Murray recently was named the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues Advocate of the Year in Nevada. The award recognizes work done in the area of political, legislative, regulatory and public advocacy on behalf of credit unions and credit union members statewide, according to a news release.

Murray received the award during the leagues’ annual convention. The awards are given to recognize excellence in advocacy for individuals, credit unions and organizations, and recipients are selected by the leagues’ advocacy department, the news release states.
