$1,500 reward in armed robbery of Sparks woman

SPARKS, Nev. — Secret Witness is offering a $1,500 reward for information leading to the arrest of the armed robber who held up a 65-year-old woman outside John Ascuaga’s Nugget hotel-casino in Sparks.

Police say the woman left her job at the Nugget about 9:45 p.m. Wednesday and was getting into her car in an employee parking lot on Victorian Avenue when she heard a man demand her purse. She says she turned her head to find the barrel of a handgun in her face.

The suspect is described as between the age of 17 and 20, clean shaven with a very light complexion. He was wearing a white shirt with a black hoodie.
