Jake Willers, who makes National Geographic wildlife documentaries, is set to speak in Carson City at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the Plaza Events Center, 211 E. Ninth St.
The presentation is a free forum, according to Judy Welch of Sierra Nevada Forums, but a donation of new or gently used children’s books is encouraged.
Willers is scheduled to talk about his experiences traveling the world making wildlife films, focusing on trials, tribulations and triumphs that have shaped his path.
Willers has been making such documentaries for a decade for The National Geographic Channel International, Nat Geo Wild and Channel FIVE, UK.
Event center doors open at 5 p.m.
