EO sets communications classes

A series of lunchtime “lunch and learns” on communications skills has been scheduled by the Reno Tahoe Chapter of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization monthly through next May.

The events are free (the group will accept donations), although a hot lunch will be offered for $20 to attendees. They’re open to all business owners and managers.

The events, which are scheduled for 11:45 a.m. until 1:15 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month, will be at the Bosma Business Center, 401 Ryland.

The lineup:

Sept. 12: “How to Use Linkedin for Business Marketing” with Alice Heiman of Alice Heiman LLC.

Oct. 10: “The How To’s of a Press Release” with Abbi Whitaker of The Abbi Agency.

Nov. 14: “How to Utilize Your Human Assets” with Lorna Shepard of Red Dog Consulting and Sharon Sperry of AlpenglowHR. (This event is open for business owners only.)

Jan. 9: “Facebook Advertising” with Judith Kline, digital media director of Creative Concepts Media + Marketing.

Feb. 13: “Where to Spend Your Ad Dollars” with Laura Partridge of Creative Concepts Media + Marketing.

March 13: “Web site Word Press” with Mike Kitson and Joe Ross of OCG Creative, LLC.

May 8: “Negotiation” with Greg Cecchi, chief strategy officer at BHI Energy.

The Reno Tahoe Chapter of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization is part of a global network of more than 8,700 business owners in 38 countries. Its members, which are chosen by invitation only, have built companies with annual revenues of at least $1 million.

The group supports, educates, and encourages entrepreneurs as they build their companies.
