Carson man arrested on suspicion of felony possession of stolen property

A 43-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday in the 2800 block of Carmine Street on suspicion of felony possession of stolen property, as well as five other counts.

According to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office arrest report:

A deputy arrived at the home where Eduardo Reyes is staying about 10:40 p.m. to serve warrants for obstructing and driving without a valid driver’s license. Reyes, 43, has an alternative-sentencing condition that allows deputies to search his home and vehicle for drugs and paraphernalia.

The deputy saw numerous glass methamphetamine pipes, bongs, a digital scale with what appeared to be meth and marijuana residue, and a marijuana pipe. He found a small amount of marijuana in a container.

The deputy ran the serial number on a laptop computer next to the paraphernalia, and it was confirmed stolen from the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.

Reyes slumped over in the patrol car and wouldn’t respond to questions. Paramedics arrived and determined he wasn’t having a medical emergency. Records showed he’d faked medical emergencies during at least three previous arrests, once walking out of Carson Tahoe Hospital with IVs in his arms.

In addition to the felony, Reyes was arrested on suspicion of driving with a suspended license, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing. Total bail was $27,900.

Reyes remained in the Carson City Jail Monday.
