Douglas County Animal Services seeks a boxer-mix puppy in connection with a rabies case that exposed two Carson City residents to the disease.

The male dog is six or seven weeks older than it appeared in a picture that was posted.

Animal Services Supervisor Janet Duzon said the dog last was given to a woman who was contacted through Facebook and met at the Tillman 7-Eleven in the Gardnerville Ranchos in mid-January.

Anyone with information about the dog is asked to contact Animal Services at 775-782-9061.

Two people underwent rabies treatment from exposure to the puppy, which tested positive last week, according to health officials.
