WNC hospitality skills workshop set for Feb. 8

Hospitality skills will be taught in a workshop offered by Western Nevada College on Feb. 8 at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Carson City.

Participants will be exposed to proper ways for dealing with customers and guests in the Guest Service Gold Workshop, which leads to designation as a certified guest service professional after the three-hour session. The workshop runs from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the second Saturday of next month. For those in the hospitality industry, the designation is recognized world wide.

Linda Barnett, director of operations for Eagle Hospital Co., will instruct the $39-per-participant workshop. Both the materials needed and the certification are included, and the final hour of the session is earmarked for certification, according to a WNC news release.
