Orthodox church holds autumn festival

Holy Royal Martyrs Orthodox Church is holding its inaugural autumn festival fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Saint Anthony Greek Orthodox Church, 4795 Lakeside Drive in Reno.

There will be art and folk crafts for sale, live music, a lottery every two hours, children’s activities and a silent auction.

Admission costs $5 and includes five lottery tickets. Traditional Russian and Ukrainian food and beverages are sold separately. Only cash is accepted at the event.

First Baptist to hold Trunk ‘n Treat

First Baptist Church at the corner of Mountain and Bath Streets in Carson City will again hold its Trunk ‘n Treat on Halloween, Oct. 31.

The event will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. and is open to the public.

The Trunk ‘n Treat will be held outside and then snacks, games and stories will be held inside.
