The Carson City Elks Lodge No. 2177 collaborated with Partnership Carson City to sponsor a Character Counts! poster contest at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Western Nevada.
Participants were asked to pick one of the six pillars of good character — caring, trustworthiness, fairness, respect, responsibility and citizenship — and created a poster exemplifying that trait.
Winners are Maleah Rogers and Brianna Elliot, first place; Dylan Hickmann and Trevor Young, second place; and Pru Knox, third place.
