People should use restrooms of biological gender

My name is Lance Peterson. I am writing to you to express my opinion on Assembly Bill 375 (transgender bathrooms). I support the bill because I think people should use the bathroom that corresponds to their biological gender. I think that allowing transgender individuals to use whatever bathroom they want is definitely a problem, and we should not allow it.

Reason No. 1 — as a young man, I personally do not want someone who I know as a girl to come into the boys bathroom. Reason No. 2 — young kids who are three or four who have been used as evidence that kids need transgender bathrooms is probably a lie. I do not think little four year olds go around questioning what gender they are unless influenced by adults in their environment.

I also understand that allowing transgender individuals to use whatever bathroom they want has caused problems in other states. For example, in California they have had problems with non-transgender individuals claiming they are transgender just so they can enter the bathrooms or locker rooms of the opposite gender. I think Nevada has it right, and our lawmakers should be applauded for trying to protect us with AB 375.
