To help answer questions about the current outbreak of avian influenza across North America, Backyard Poultry magazine will be hosting a live webinar 7 a.m., April 30.

Backyard Poultry Editor Ryan Slabaugh will interview experts about how avian influenza affects backyard flock owners, what is avian influenza, and lead a discussion about how poultry owners can best prevent their flocks from getting diseases. Dr. Sherrill Davison, Director of the Laboratory of Avian Medicine and Pathology at the University of Pennsylvania and Agriculture Spokesperson for Penn Vet.

Dr. Gordon Ballam, Director of Lifestyle Innovation & Technical Service, Purina Animal Nutrition.

Jeremy Chartier, who has been raising poultry since 1995. He holds an associate’s degree in Animal Science from University of Connecticut, and writes for henclass.com.
