Hundreds of business professionals convened Aug. 25 for the 2015 Governor’s Conference on Business, a sold-out gathering that was held at the Atlantis in Reno.
A top Tesla official shared the stage with Gov. Brian Sandoval and both men detailed the transformative economic growth now underway with the electric vehicle company’s decision to pick Nevada as its gigafactory site. The arrival of the company is now driving business development that they said will benefit northern Nevadans directly and indirectly.
In addition to guest speakers, 100 vendors were in attendance at a business expo.
In between panels that addressed many key issues driving the economy, attendees found time to attend a competition for Nevada entrepreneurs modeled after the show “Shark Tank.”
