Cheers & Kudos: GraceWorks event was a tremendous success

To all of you who participated, thank you for making GraceWorks-2015 on May 15-17 the wonderful event and success that it was! We had more than 350 volunteers donating their time to 46 community service projects. Thank you for your participation, for serving your community and for helping your neighbors, whether they are next door or on the other side of the world. Thank you for being a missionary right here at home and sharing God’s love with everyone around you.

This year marks the fifth year this event has taken place in Carson City. Every year, we have been blessed that it has grown in its scope and breadth. We have already heard from a number of the organizations we were able to serve expressing their thanks. Another milestone this year is that with our partner, Stop Hunger Now, we have now bought and packaged nearly 55,000 emergency disaster meals, which is the equivalent of one for every man, woman and child here in Carson City. Thank you for making that possible. Thanks again, and God bless each of you.

We also would like to thank the following donors, who fed and watered out volunteers: Trader Joe’s, The Sausage Factory, Raley’s, and the Grocery Outlet. And a great big thanks to the Kiwanis Club of Carson City and the Sierra Nevada Kiwanis Club — they cooked pancake breakfasts both mornings for all of the volunteers.
