Jackpot Crossing Casino in Fernley has opened its doors for business.

According to the Lahontan Valley News, the new casino is located at 206 Logan Lane, which is at exit 46 on Interstate 80 near two major truck stops: Pilot Travel Center and Love’s Travel Stop. The grand opening was June 5.

“We are excited to further our commitment to the Fernley Community with the opening of Jackpot Crossing Casino,” said General Manager Scott Tate. “We were able to get this project open during these challenging economic times and provide 30 new jobs for Fernley.”

Jackpot Crossing boasts a lounge with multiple high definition television screens, 180 slot machines and a William Hill sports book.

The Jackpot Crossing is the former Chukars, which was a sports bar.

Jackpot Crossing Casino is the third Fernley property for the casino group. WCW Corporation also owns the Bonanza Inn, The Comstock and Super 8 motel in Fallon; and the Nugget and Wigwam in Fernley.
