Carson City road report for June 8-14

The following information applies to the period of June 8-14:

On Tuesday, June 9, and Wednesday, June 10, there will be intermittent lane closures with flaggers on the south side of Winnie Lane near the intersection with Ormsby Boulevard due to the construction of shoulder improvements.

Work will continue on westbound Fifth Street between Well Way and Pasture Drive due to work on the north side of the median. Some delays are expected.

Work will continue for sidewalk improvements being constructed at the main entrance to Western Nevada College from College Parkway. Please use caution.

On Monday, June 8, and Tuesday, June 9, there will be lane closures at the intersection of Bigelow Drive and Race Track Road with flagger controlled traffic from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There will be shoulder work from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the following locations:

The intersection of Fall Street and Eighth Street on Monday.

The intersection of Plaza Street and Eighth Street on Tuesday.

Nevada Street near the intersection with Eighth Street on Wednesday.

Sixth Street near the intersection with Nevada Street on Thursday.

From 7 p.m. to midnight on Saturday, June 13, there will be a cycling event in downtown Carson City. There are no street closures scheduled, but drivers are asked to use caution when driving through downtown.

Though not in Carson City, the Nevada Department of Transportation will be performing roadway maintenance on U.S. 50 from SR 341 (Virginia City Junction) to Chavez Road in Lyon County. Work will begin Sunday, June 7, and continue through Thursday, June 11, from 6 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. nightly. No delays are expected.
