Fingerprinting Express opens second store

Fingerprinting Express, which has provided fingerprinting and other services in Reno for more than a decade, recently opened a second store at 1958 E. William St. in Carson City.

“Our Reno store was very busy and we wanted to relieve the pressure off that store,” said Monica Pappas, co-founder of Fingerprinting Express, which employs 10 people at its two locations. “People love convenience so we opened a store in Carson City.”

The new store, as well as the Reno location at 1320 E. Plumb Lane, Suite A, offers electronic Livescan fingerprinting, criminal history background checks, notary services, secure document shredding, passport and employment licensing photo services and more.

For now, customers needing urine tests or TSA pre-check screening will need to go to the Reno store.

The Carson City store, on the other hand, represents an enlarged vision for Fingerprinting Express as a new franchise. It has a new look, branding and logo. The Reno store will be remodeled to match.

“For more than 10 years we’ve had the privilege of serving people from all over northern Nevada and northern California from our Reno location and we couldn’t be more excited to bring a location to Carson City and to be a part of Carson’s vibrant business landscape,” Pappas said.

“My family built this business on a culture to care. We care about our community and we care about our process and results.”

Founded in 2003, Fingerprinting Express guarantees all of its fingerprint background checks and is the only location in northern Nevada that utilizes a Federal Bureau of Investigation Channeling Agency, which expedites reports. Individuals can receive FBI background checks within 24 hours instead of four to 12 weeks.

Fingerprinting Express offers Livescan fingerprinting technology. Prints can be sent electronically to the State of Nevada and to the FBI, in addition to providing hard fingerprint cards to customers.

Fingerprinting Express’s Reno location currently is the only licensed company in northern Nevada providing fingerprinting for TSA pre-check screening that enables passengers to bypass normal security lines.
