STEM at Carson City’s Children’s Museum

The Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada received a $3,000 STEM grant to support science, technology, engineering and math education and workshops.

Workshops are planned from 10 to 11 a.m. this Saturday and March 21 and 28 in the STEM Room in the basement of the Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada. Topics include simple machines — designing and building a catapult; weather — making a hurricane and creating a cloud identification window; and magnetism/electricity.
