D & D has $2 million in new jobs

D & D Roofing and Sheet Metal president Ken Dillon announced the company has $2 million in contracts for new jobs.

These new jobs include: Nevada Museum of Art, Advanced Health, Enterprise Rental Car, Dicks Sporting Goods, Reno Tahoe International Airport Central Disposal, and Skyline Vilas all in Reno; Trademark in Sparks; Carson Brewery, Carson City; Alta Village, Incline Village; Churchill City High School, Fallon and Duckwater Elementary School and Pleasant Senior Citizens Center in Elko.

D & D Roof and Sheet Metal, which is now 100 percent owned by its employees, is Nevada’s leading roofing company with headquarters in Sparks, and offices in Elko, and Carson City. It also offers services to portions of northern California. The company handles both residential and commercial roofing projects, and holds seven Contractors Licenses in Nevada, California and Utah and obtained an Asbestos Abatement license in 1989.

Greater Nevada Names Andazola VP People

Greater Nevada Credit Union named Nicole Andazola its new VP People, a role in which she will oversee human resources and training and development areas, focusing on supporting the organization’s culture through team collaboration and employee engagement.

Andazola brings more than 15 years of human resources experience in both the public and private sectors. Prior to joining Greater Nevada, she held leadership roles for Nevada Housing Division and the State of Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. She holds an MBA from University of Phoenix, and Senior Professional Human Resources certification from Human Resources Certification Institute.

Gwinn named loan servicing manager at GNCU

Greater Nevada Mortgage announced Haley Gwinn will oversee all day-to-day mortgage servicing functions as its new loan servicing manager.

Gwinn began her career with Greater Nevada in 2004, working at parent company Greater Nevada Credit Union’s educational branch in Carson City. Since then, she has held several positions at both the credit union and in mortgage services. Most recently she was GNM’s servicing report analyst.

A graduate of the Carson City Chamber of Commerce Leadership Institute, Gwinn holds a bachelor’s in finance from University of Nevada, Reno. She is the past chair of the Carson City Chamber of Commerce Young Business Professionals, and past board member of the California/Nevada Youth Involvement Network.

Local business raising money for 4-H

After a record-breaking 4-H Paper Clover campaign in the spring, Tractor Supply Company, in partnership with National 4-H Council, is hosting another Paper Clover campaign in October.

Tractor Supply Company customers can purchase paper clovers for $1 or more during checkout Oct. 7-18. Seventy percent of funds raised will go to state and local 4-H youth development program activities. The remaining 30 percent of the total funds are donated to National 4-H Council.
