David is a retired electronics designer, and Judy is a retired beautician.
The couple has three sons — Phil Sheppard with wife Lisa and daughter Sierra of Carson City; Jim Sheppard with wife Julie and sons Jacob and Ian of Harrison, Idaho; and John Sheppard with wife Karen and sons Matthew and Nathan and daughter Lauren of Spokane, Wash.
