The Advocates to End Domestic Violence 5K/10K walk to raise awareness for domestic violence was held Saturday night.

Earlier in the week, Advocates announced it was moving its biggest fundraiser, The Taste of DownTown, to July 23, 2016.

The moving of the event to July, will create a funding shortfall for fiscal year 2015-2016.

“We may be forced to limit many services needed by our clients, such as purchasing their birth certificates and ID cards, much of the transportation we typically provide, perishable food items, and many other essential services not allowable with grant funds. We are turning to the community and asking for your help to fill these needs,” Advocates said in a news release.

Donations can be sent to Advocates to End Domestic Violence, PO Box 2529, Carson City, NV 89702. Or make a donation online at http://www.aedv.org.
