New business organization to launch in Carson City

The first Entrepreneurs Assembly chapter of Carson City — EA at the Capital — is making its debut from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Adams Hub, 177 W. Proctor St.

EA is an award-winning organization designed to support the success of local entrepreneurs, startups, and aspiring business owners. It was founded in 2010 to help aid in Nevada’s economic recovery. The organization has provided training and support to more than 200 participants, and was honored with the Entrepreneurial Spirit award for Nevada by the Small Business Administration in 2014. There are EA chapters in Reno, Incline and South Lake Tahoe.

Everyone is invited: from companies big and small, to existing businesses and to start-ups.

The event will be held every third Wednesday of the month and membership is free. Monthly meetings include interactive round tables facilitated by mentors with a wide array of business expertise and experience. During round table sessions, members identify their key priorities and action items, then leave the meeting with their marching orders for the next month.

Entrepreneur in Residence and EA co-founder Matt Westfield will introduce the EA mission and format. Members will then meet with mentors privately to discuss confidential business updates and problem-solving workshops.

Anyone interested in participating in an upcoming EA at the Capital meeting or wishing to learn more about EA membership, which is free of cost, can contact grow@adamshub.com, or call 775.222.0001.
