Junior Giants parent to be honored at AT&T Park

Today, team parent Amie Oden of Carson City will be honored during a ceremony honoring those who have contributed to the Junior Giants program.

The ceremony will happen in front of home plate at 4:35 p.m. at AT&T Park before the Major League Baseball game between the San Francisco Giants and New York Mets schedule to begin shortly after 5 p.m. There will be 85 coaches and team parents who from all of the West who have contributed to the Junior Giants program and Oden from the Carson City Junior Giants program will be among those recognized.

Those recognized are being honored for their dedication and contributions throughout the 2016 season.

Giants Hall of Famer Willie McCovey will recognize those honored during the ceremony.
