The Builders Association of Northern Nevada celebrated industry leaders during its BANN-ER Awards on Nov. 4.

“The BANN-ER Awards event, celebrating its 20th year, is designed to recognize industry excellence,” Teri Scharosch, the association’s executive director, told the NNBW in an email. “This year’s entries exhibited creativity, an understanding of the needs of our market and its consumers, and most of all, were built to standards that exceed expectations. All deserved the recognition this event signifies.”

Dane Hillyard, partner with Greenstreet Companies, said the judges from out of the area toured the property independently, without the developers present.

Greenstreet project Square One apartments — the recreation of an old hotel into urban-style apartments in Victorian Square in Sparks — was recognized at the Best Multifamily Project.

“We’re very pleased, super excited,” Hillyard said. Allco Construction served as the general contractor for the renovation.

Toll Brothers in Reno won multiple construction and design awards for its Willow Bend at Saddle Ridge project plus several members of the Toll Brothers sales team were also honored.

“It is a great honor to be recognized by the community for the exceptional quality and design of our homes and neighborhoods,” said John Tolbert, Toll Brothers Reno Division president. “We take pride in the communities we build and the luxury lifestyle we provide for our residents.”

Chartered in 1956, BANN is a non-profit entity affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders and is committed to providing education and representation to the industry and its members. For more information, go to www.thebuilders.com.
