Carson City road report for July 11-17

The following information applies to the period of July 11-17.

Work will continue on the Downtown Corridor improvement project on Carson Street. For details regarding traffic impacts, refer to the Cone Zone in the Nevada Appeal, or go to www.carsonproud.com. These sources are updated weekly throughout the duration of the project.

Lane closures with traffic controls are planned at the following locations due to utility/road work:

Southbound traffic on S. Carson Street between Tenth and Stewart streets will be shifted for all hours on weekdays

Center Drive south of Clear Creek Avenue near Topsy Lane from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays

Oak Ridge and Desert Peach drives from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays

N. Ormsby Boulevard between Winnie Lane and College Parkway from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays

Road closures are expected at the following locations due to utility/road work; drivers are asked to follow detours:

Fairview Drive between Butti Way and Fifth Street from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday

Topsy Lane between Center Drive and U.S. 395 for all hours Monday through Sunday; local traffic only

Race Track Road and Bigelow Drive south of Snyder Avenue for all hours Monday through Sunday; local traffic only

Jeanell Drive between Russett Way and Michael Drive from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays

Anderson Street between Robinson and Caroline streets from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays

East Fifth Street loop around the Korean War Memorial for all hours Monday through Sunday; parking is available to the south

Work in the parking lane will occur on W. King Street between Curry and Nevada streets from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Northbound U.S. 395 between Clear Creek and Snyder avenues will be reduced from three to two lanes until July 29.

Intermittent lane and ramp closures will continue through fall on I-580 and Alternate U.S. 395 in Washoe Valley and north Carson City as the Nevada Department of Transportation repaves and makes other roadway improvements.
