Appeal missed tribute to D-Day
I opened the paper on the 7th of this month (no paper on the 6th), and all I saw was a huge spread about Muhammad Ali. Granted, he was a great boxer, but where was a big spread about the Allied invasion in Normandy that turned the tide of World War II — D-Day?
I was very disappointed. This was a place and time in our American history that should be remembered. I would hope that this part of our history is still listed, and not deleted, in the history books in our schools.
