Inmate at Northern Nevada Correctional Center dies

An autopsy has been scheduled for a 35-year-old prison inmate who died Wednesday.

Matthew Madrid died at the medical facility at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center in Carson City.

He was serving a maximum of 36 years in prison for battery with a deadly weapon, robbery, use of a deadly weapon and ex-felon in possession of a firearm as well as parole violation.
