Couch Singers at First Baptist

Nashville-based gospel and Christian music due Ernie and Jason Couch will be featured in a concert at 6 p.m. Sunday, May 29 at First Baptist Church, 1750 N. Mountain St., Carson City. The concert is free and open to the public.

The duo presents a high energy mix of classic and new cutting edge gospel music. “We perform music with a message that speaks to all age groups and all backgrounds,” Jason said.

Church hosting gospel concert June 1

Good Shepherd Wesleyan at 1505 Railroad Drive in Carson City will have the gospel group, The Cragun’s, live in concert at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 1.

Doors open at 6 p.m. Donations are being taken to benefit the group, which spends its time traveling the nation sharing its music with hundreds of spectators.

Jehovah’s Witnesses to host convention

Jehovah’s Witnesses are inviting the public to attend their 2016 “Remain Loyal to Jehovah!” Regional Conventions.

Beginning Friday, June 3, the Witnesses will be hosting these free events at the Sacramento Convention Center and around the world. The dates and locations for each convention can be found on the Witnesses’ official website, jw.org.

Congregations in Carson City will be attending the convention at 9:20 a.m. June 24-26. The three-day program will feature 49 presentations, each exploring the theme “loyalty.” Additionally, the Witnesses have prepared 35 video segments, plus two short films that will be shown on Saturday and Sunday. The morning and afternoon sessions will be introduced by music videos recorded for the convention.

First Baptist Church schedules Kidz Kamp

First Baptist Church, 1750 N. Mountain St., Carson City, will hold its Kidz Kamp from 9:30 a.m. to noon daily, June 6-10 for ages 4-12.

Kids will go on an adventure like no other, deep within the mysterious sea. They will be submerged in God’s Word and discover Jesus didn’t just see what’s on the outside of people. He looked deep down on the inside.

So it’s time to grab some goggles, step into some flippers, and dive in to find truth below the surface. There will be music, crafts, missions, games and snacks. There’s no cost for the camp.

Theme of the camp is Jesus sees. Jesus knows. Jesus saves.
